What kind of projects and activities do we offer?
By and through our various programs, we seek to provide educational materials and professional assistance to libraries in under-developed countries, and help develop free cultural programs, such as book fairs, lectures, cultural festivals and art exhibits, for U.S.-based libraries. We strive to collaborate with community media organizations and other institutions that share our goals. We also celebrate major international days observed by UNESCO, including:
- January 27: Holocaust Day
- March 8: International Women Day
- April 22: Earth Day
- May 3: World Press Freedom Day
- July 30: Friendship Day
- August 23: Slavery Remembrance Day
- Last weekend of October : Creole Languages Day
- December 1: AIDS Day
